About Zad

A travel agency built for sacred journeys

We organize Umrah for Ethiopian residents, diaspora families, groups, and institutions — with careful operations from Addis Ababa to Makkah and Madinah.

Why Zad Exists

Organized enough to trust with a spiritual journey.

Zad exists so pilgrims can focus on worship while logistics stay clear, private, and accountable. From the first quotation to arrival support in the Holy Cities, we design the path around families — not around marketing claims.

Company history timelines, partnership logos, and performance statistics appear here only after management confirmation. Until then, we publish what we can stand behind: process, privacy, and operational care.

How We Serve Pilgrims

Your journey, step by step

From first conversation to safe return — every phase is planned, coordinated, and supported.

The Zad Pilgrim Journey

  1. Step 1

Share your travel preferences and group details. Receive a transparent quotation — no passport uploads required at this stage.

  5. Step 5

    Arrival & Holy Cities Support

On-the-ground coordinators in Makkah and Madinah manage hotel check-in, transfers, and group guidance throughout your stay.

  6. Step 6

    Safe Return

Return travel coordination and follow-up support. Emergency contacts remain available throughout and after your journey.

On the ground

Typical 11-day round schedule

3 nights in Madinah · 7 nights in Makkah · 11 days from Addis Ababa and back

Day-by-day plan

  1. Day 1

    Arrival in Jeddah → Madinah

Land in Jeddah, meet your Zad coordinator, and travel to Madinah. Check in at your hotel near Masjid an-Nabawi and rest after the journey.

  2. Day 2

    Full Madinah Ziyarat

Guided visits to the key sites of Madinah — Masjid Quba, Masjid al-Qiblatayn, Mount Uhud, and Jannat al-Baqi — with your group leader.

  3. Day 3

    Jumu'ah, Baqi & the Rawdah

Friday prayer at Masjid an-Nabawi, du'a, and a Fajr visit to Jannat al-Baqi. Time in the Rawdah to pray, reflect, and enjoy the calm of Madinah.

  4. Day 4

    Madinah → Makkah · Umrah

Travel to Makkah, enter Ihram at the Miqat, and settle at your Haram-area hotel. After luggage and a short rest, complete Tawaf and Sa'i at Masjid al-Haram with your guide.

  5. Day 5

    Rest in Makkah

A quieter day at your Makkah hotel — recover from travel, pray at the Haram at your own pace, and prepare for the days ahead.

  6. Day 6

    Rest in Makkah

Another rest day near the Haram for worship, personal du'a, and optional voluntary Tawaf.

  7. Day 7

    Full Makkah Ziyarat

Guided Ziyarat around Makkah — including Jabal al-Nour, Ghar Hira, Mina, Muzdalifah, and other sites on your group's route.

  8. Day 8

    Jeddah shopping

A coordinated trip to Jeddah for shopping, gifts, and essentials before the final days of your stay.

  9. Day 9

    Jumu'ah & worship

Friday prayer, du'a, and dedicated time for ibadah — at the Haram or with your group as scheduled.

  10. Day 10

    Rest & prepare for departure

Pack, rest, and transfer to Jeddah ahead of your return flight. Final checks with your Zad coordinator.

  11. Day 11

    Return to Addis Ababa

Depart from Jeddah and arrive back in Addis Ababa — your Umrah round complete, with Zad support until you land.

Makkah

Proximity planned with reverence.

Accommodation near the Haramain, transfers, and group guidance are coordinated so pilgrims can keep their attention on Umrah — not on logistics.

Madinah

A calmer chapter of the journey.

From arrival planning to visits around Masjid an-Nabawi, Madinah is managed with the same operational discipline as Makkah — quieter pacing, clear support.

Values

What we refuse to compromise

These principles guide every decision we make — from how we handle your documents to how we price our packages.

Privacy First

Quotes need travel details — not passport scans. Sensitive documents enter private storage only after a booking is established.

Clarity Over Hype

No invented traveler counts, star ratings, or unverified hotel claims. What you see is what operations can confirm.

Family Continuity

Diaspora sponsors, relatives in Ethiopia, and institutional groups share one visible booking path with clear next steps.

Assistance When It Matters

The emergency address page is maintained as a real pilgrim tool — printable, shareable, and free of private identity data.

For Ethiopian Diaspora

Sponsor an Umrah from abroad

Living abroad? You can sponsor and manage an Umrah journey for family members in Ethiopia — with clear communication and secure document handling.
